Kirk began working for the Town in 2023. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master of Accounting degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He is a licensed CPA in North Carolina. The Finance Officer is responsible for processing and recording all transactions while following Federal and NC guidelines to ensure the best use and proper purpose for the Town's spending. In addition, the Finance Officer is the primary contact for the annual financial statements and works with the Town Manager to prepare the yearly budget.
