Jump Off Rock

Atop Jump Off Mountain is the scenic overlook, Jump Off Rock, which provides a panoramic view of rolling pastures, and the Blue Ridge and Pisgah mountain ranges. Throughout the year, Jump Off Rock is utilized for concerts, weddings, funerals, and family picnics.

Rhododendron Lake Nature Park

A 10-acre park nestled between Lake Drive and Primrose Lane, conveniently accessible from both Laurel Park Highway and White Pine Drive. Features almost a mile of walking paths, fitness stations, a catch-and-release fishing pond (with a child 12 years of age and under only), picnic area with charcoal grill, and more.

The property is on Lake Drive just off Laurel Park Highway on the former site of Rhododendron Lake, with main visitor parking off of Primrose Lane. Laurel Green and Rhododendron Lake Nature Park are connected via the sidewalk on Laurel Park Highway to Primrose Lane.

Laurel Green Park

Laurel Green Park is a 4-acre parcel of level land enclosed by a perimeter of planted berms and a stream. Laurel Green is home to the popular Little Laurel Green playground, meandering walking paths, a pond and a centrally located gazebo for gatherings.

Crystal Springs Park

Tucked into a rhododendron grove on a hillside in lower Laurel Park, Crystal Springs is a remnant of times gone by when natural springs provided crystal clear and clean drinking water for area residents and visitors alike. Located on Crystal Spring Drive, surrounded by an arch made of native stones, its waters can still be seen flowing.

Our most recent addition to our pocket park systems is Glenn Rock Spring Park. Enter from Echo Circle and walk the platform to a short trail down chiseled granite steps, and over a boardwalk that leads to the historic spring box.

Canal Park

Centrally located at the intersection of Laurel Park Hwy and Lake Drive, Canal Park is truly one of our neighborhood’s hidden gems. It has been designated a pollinator garden where landscaping will enhance the visitor experience and education. Two raised beds have been planted with a variety of pollinator plants that are recommended for this area.
